School-Parent Compact and Parent & Family Engagement Plan

Dear Parents/Guardians,

R. N. Fickett Elementary School, students participate in the Title I, Part A program and their families, agree that is compact outlines how the parents, the entire school staff, and the students will share the responsibility for improving student’s academic achievement as well as describes how schools and parents will build and develop a partnership that will help children achieve the State’s high standards.

The School Parent & Family Engagement Plan describes how the school will carry out the parental involvement requirements to ensure effective involvement of parents and to support a partnership among the school, parents and the community to improve student academic achievement.

Please review the attached School-Parent Compact and Parent & Family Engagement Plan.

Once signed, please return this form to your child’s teacher and keep the School-Parent Compact as a reminder of your commitment. Both the School-Parent Compact and the Parent & Family Engagement Plan will discussed with throughout the year at various school-family and parent academic workshops, events and activities as we work together to help your child succeed in school. We look forward to our school-parent partnership! I understand that I can request an additional copy of the School-Parent Compact and Parent & Family Engagement Plan in the Parent Resource Center and/or Main Office.
